Great buy. Just what I was looking for. Quality is top of the line and the directions for assembly very clear.

The lamp itself works great, but be prepared to have to completely clean it from top to bottom along with whichever room you decide to unpack it in. The lamp had what was almost like an oil residue on all the metal parts. The foam used to pack it gets everywhere with more static cling than I’ve ever experienced. We’re still finding little pieces of foam packaging. The lamp knob comes off pretty easily, which can be remedied with a little super glue.

Adesso makes great budget lamps, and I was really please to find a decent replacement for the halogen torchieres. The lamp is fine, considering it is the bottom of the price range.
However, it arrived in a box that had been opened and resealed, evidently returned previously, and the aluminum threads were not in the greatest shape. Therefore the sections didn’t screw into each other all the way. If this was going to be in a more visible area and I had more time, I would have returned it.
